Runs Monday—Friday

How to Use the Schedule

  • There are two morning runs and two afternoon runs.
  • Select the point from which you want to embark the bus and the point from which you want to disembark.
  • The top schedule is for travel between Monroe and Freehold and the bottom schedule is for travel between Freehold
    and Monroe.

Operation Regulations

  • The shuttle is FREE
  • Monroe Township residents only
  • You are allowed Two (2) reusable bags of groceries (not laundry bag size) on the vehicle that you can handle yourself.
  • Bags must be placed on the floor at your feet.

The Township's Office of Transportation provides bus service that can be used by residents 55 years of age and older or if you are disabled. The buses transport seniors and disabled residents, who are unable to drive, to routine medical appointments as well as to designated shopping locations.

We also provide Senior Center members round trip transportation to the Senior Center, and we offer day trips each month to a variety of different places to enjoy.

The Freehold "Out of Town Shuttle" buses, transports residents regardless of age to various shopping locations including Centra State and other locations.

Transportation services are not offered on the following days:

  • New Years Day
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • President's Day
  • Good Friday
  • Juneteenth (observed 3rd Friday in June)
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Columbus Day
  • Election Day
  • Veterans Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
